Last Post for 2012

It's finally all done....I stood on my feet for four hours straight and finished all the other cards that I wanted done. Phew - mission accomplished.
So for this card I started with the challenge over at Sunday Sketch and Stamp. It is a free choice challenge and I chose this sketch.

And with a bit of a twist, some embossing and distressing, this is what I came up with.

So the background paper is embossed and then I distressed it using three Tim Holtz distress pads on the raised surface - Wild Honey, Walnut stain and Tattered rose. The effect is quite spectacular in real life with all three colors competing for attention :) The edges are distressed with walnut stain.

The center ornament is Justrite ( which I have been using indiscriminately over the past few cards). Cut it using the coordinating die cut. The papers are from Recollections Urban Plaza paper stack and are distressed. The inside of the card is simple ( and in hurry, I forgot to take a picture ). Just layered with paper and a ornament die cut for writing message.
Submitting for the following challenges

Try it on Tuesday  - Use 4 ingredients from the list. I chose die cut, stamped image, distressing and sentiment.
