Same stamp...different look

It is always interesting to see how the look of the stamp is completely changed by the color and the embellishments on the card. For this card, I decided to use the same stamp one of my previous one ( see earlier post dated 17th Oct ) and try to make it look different. I am not sure that I succeeded too much 'cos I ended up sticking to the monochromatic theme :(
Anyway, here is the card

The big star on the right corner is a Memory box die which I seem to favor these days. The stamp is Justrite.
The inside of the card is lined up with similar paper and has an ornament shaped die cut for writing sentiments.

And here is the close up of the magnificent Tilda.

A Blue and Brown Christmas ....

Christmas is just around the corner...which means, at least for crafters,  card-making at its speediest :)

For my Christmas card, I decided to go in the exact opposite direction from my previous one, focusing on this kind of vintage - shabby look. Which also meant choosing the colors blue and brown.

So there it is, Tilda with a gift - looking as cute as ever. The card uses the Majestic Elements Nestabilities Radiant Rectangles Die for its shape and layering. The blue DP is from DCWV. The corner embellishment is a Memory Box die.

I had this image colored and cut, ready to be used for a really long time. So not really sure if I used only markers or a combination of markers and colored pencils here.

The inside of the card is similarly lined and heavily distressed. The deer are from the Memory Box die cut and the sentiment is Justrite.

It is good to be back

It has been a while since I published anything on the blog and a big reason for that has been a move across continents. But it is good to be back and doing my favorite thing - stamping, coloring, cutting, and glueing :)
For my first card, I decided to go with a Christmas card, since I need to make a lot of these and I have barely made any. But instead of the traditional red and green, I decided to go with black and white ! I like the effect though.

It is a Z card, done only in black and white - except for the two red gift boxes. I just couldn't resist that .....
This is how the card unfolds

A place to write .....

And on the other side

And now for the essentials
The stamp is magnolia tilda (of course), the stars are Spellbinders and the star banner in the front panel bottom is a memory box die.
